    [AJUDA] Atualizei o linux e ele parou

    Bem eu tinha o linux ubuntu 9.10 karmic, pus ele hoje para atualizar e quando cheguei nao sei se o pc travou durante o processo de instalaçao, ele para numa tela como se estivese checando algo e nunca sai. Entao apertei alt+f2 ai ele abriu uma nova janela(console) tudo em modo texto ai fui e dei um startx e nao entrou mas gerou um log que é este a baixo:

    Cara eu já tive duas vezes uns problemas parecidos... em uma delas eu resolvi usando a copia de backup que algumas vezes é feita
    Primeiro faz a copia da configuração atual

    Faz a cópia do teu arquivo atual

    sudo cp /etc/X11/xorg.conf /etc/X11/xorg.bckup
    Depois usa a cópia de segurança:

    sudo cp /etc/X11/xorg.conf.failsafe /etc/X11/xorg.conf

    E da outra vez eu usei esse comando pra criar um novo arquivo de configuração:

    sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg


    Se der certo avisa.

    olha eu usei uma configuraçao de um Xorf.conf universal que achei no viva o linux com pessoas com problemas parecidos e retornou outro erro:

    outra coisa que tinha esquecido é q ele nao carrega o splash ...
    E que ele da uns erro em dev/slmr0 algo assim e a ultima msg q aparece ...

    Tenta a primeira opção primeiro, copia a copia de segurança e tentar o startx, se n der certo que tu tenta o outro.

    Fala jovem.

    Entre em safe mode e como root tente o comando abaixo:

    dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

    Se não funcionar tente ler AQUI.
    Pense em uma frase bonita.

    Bem como ja avia dito ele entra e trava na tela e tenho que abri um novo console Alt+f2 para logar e digitar os comandos ...
    Irei tentar dar este comando ai, se nao funcionar acho q vou tentar baixar e gravar em um cd e reinstalar.

    kalangosk8er, respeito a sua decisão, mas é justamente isso, essa linha, que separa os usuários do Windows dos usuários do Linux, claro, com algumas exceções (Rodrigo é um exemplo).

    Acho que você poderia tentar mais antes de tomar essa decisão.

    Pense em uma frase bonita.

    Entendo é que nao é a primeiva veis que isto ocorre, e nao sou um usuario que fca fucando tudo ate da pau pra depos consertar, evito fazer qualquer coisa ao maximo para nao estragar e com linux nao sei o porque é 1 mes bom e 2 ruim ...
    Mas acho que sei oque pode ter ocasionado o problema antes de por para atualizar eu tinha deletado o compiz porque achei q estava deixando o linux muito lento e desinstalei o gnome...

    Acho que dei os comandos:
    sudo apt-get remove compiz-core deskop-effects
    sudo apt-get remove compiz compiz-gnome
    sudo apt-get remove-compizconfig-settings-manager
    sudo apt-get remove-compiz-fuzion-plugins-extra
    sudo apt-get remove compiz-fusion-plugins-unofficial
    sudo apt-get remove libcompizconfig-backend-gconf
    sudo apt-get remove beryl*

    Sera que tenho que baixar o pacote manualmente e reinstalar ?
